CTO Akihiro Hori Delivers Special Lecture at Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School
On June 7, 2025, SyncMOF’s CTO, Akihiro Hori, gave a special lecture at Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School.
The event was held in conjunction with Expo 2025 and aimed to inspire 180 students who will shape the future. Hori spoke about balancing academic research and entrepreneurship, and the path that led to SyncMOF’s participation in the Expo.
The lecture was titled “The Scholar and the Abacus.”
Drawing from his research experience at RIKEN, Kyoto University, and Nagoya University, Hori shared his journey of founding and managing multiple companies while continuing his academic pursuits. He candidly and passionately described how he led SyncMOF to the world stage of Expo 2025.
With a deep commitment to scholarship and a bold determination to tackle social challenges through real-world implementation, Hori’s life as both a scientist and an entrepreneur left a strong impression on the students.
SyncMOF will continue to engage in such initiatives to inspire the next generation of innovators.
