January 13, 2025: SyncMOF’s DAC Technology Featured in Chunichi Shimbun’s Special Report “Challenging Decarbonization”
On January 13, 2025, SyncMOF’s DAC (Direct Air Capture) technology was featured in Chunichi Shimbun’s special report titled “Challenging Decarbonization.”
This article follows the same content as the feature published in Tokyo Shimbun on January 12, highlighting SyncMOF’s technology and its advanced applications.
Advanced Initiatives Featured in the Special Report:
• Agricultural Application with Aohata Corporation
The report showcases how CO2 captured by SyncMOF’s DAC devices is utilized in agricultural projects operated by Aohata Corporation. This initiative aims to promote crop growth and improve yields, demonstrating the potential of CO2 capture technology to not only reduce environmental impact but also create new value in the agricultural sector.
• Methane Production from CO2 in Hakuba Village
In Hakuba Village, CO2 captured using SyncMOF’s DAC technology is employed as a raw material to produce methane. By integrating this process with renewable energy, the project strives to achieve localized energy production and consumption while contributing to a sustainable energy system.
These examples illustrate SyncMOF’s tangible contributions to achieving a carbon-neutral society.
