MOF FES. – Turning CO₂ into a Hero: A Global Celebration at Expo 2025 Osaka
On June 15, 2025, SyncMOF hosted “MOF FES. – Turning CO₂ into a Hero” on the special stage of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Carbon dioxide (CO₂) in the atmosphere has long been cast as the villain in the fight against global warming. But today, we face a new challenge: to collect CO₂ and reuse it as a valuable resource. MOF FES. was designed around this transformative idea, leveraging SyncMOF’s cutting-edge material technology—MOFs (Metal-Organic Frameworks)—to offer a fresh perspective on CO₂ and its potential.
Most people are unaware that they can actively participate in capturing CO₂. This event invited everyone to experience a future where collecting CO₂ is not only possible, but also exciting and creative. Through a fusion of art, sports, and music, we brought together people across cultures, languages, and backgrounds to share in the vision of a carbon-conscious society.
As the culmination of SyncMOF’s ongoing efforts in carbon capture and utilization (CCU), MOF FES. showcased how science, creativity, and community can unite to reshape our collective relationship with CO₂.
