September 28, 2024: CTO Hori Introduces MOF Practical Applications in *Chemical Equipment*
In the September 28, 2024 issue of *Chemical Equipment*, Akihiro Hori, CTO of SyncMOF Co., Ltd., introduced practical applications of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOF).
The article highlights the diverse applications of SyncMOF’s Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology for CO2 recovery, including its use in agriculture (Aohata, Agile Energy X) and methanation for fuel production. In Hiroshima’s agricultural sector, recovered CO2 is being utilized to promote the photosynthesis of fruits and vegetables, contributing to more efficient crop production. Additionally, methanation technology, which converts CO2 into methane, is expected to play a key role in sustainable energy (Nagoya University COI-NEXT).
Furthermore, SyncMOF is committed to expanding the use of CO2 recovery technology in schools and local governments (Nagoya Electric Works). For example, the “CO2 Duty” program at Hakuba Minami Elementary School demonstrates how educational programs can foster environmental awareness in younger generations and encourage a community-wide approach to decarbonization.
Through these initiatives, SyncMOF is contributing to the creation of a sustainable future, exploring new possibilities for CO2 utilization and driving technological innovation.
